Reviews:

This CVS is great. They’re usually quiet and the employees leave you alone. The store is clean and well organized. They’re one of the few places in town that carry a vitamin I use regularly.

Their pharmacist is friendly, but the techs are pretty grumpy. CVS is well known to be the worst customers over employees oriented companies out there though, so I forgive them.

Their selection isn’t great, but its better than Amazon Prime Now, which makes it a good choice for quick runs. The food/drinks are not terribly expensive either. Generally more expensive than say, the discount grocer, but less so than a regular store, and MUCH better than Target. The sales and coupons, especially the Red Card personalized ones, are the best of any drugstore around me.

All these things mean this is a great place to pop in if you need any convience or drugstore items. The only missing thing is cigarettes, which is a crying shame, because that would make this CVS perfect.

Also note that there is a much larger CVS right up the road, and I prefer this one 100%. – Victoria Horger

Ordered a picture online the night before. The next morning at 8:30, I received an email confirmation my picture was ready. I went to the store to pick up my order and was told it was not there and they never received my order. The clerk insisted I sent the order to the wrong CVS. I went out to my car to get my phone and went back inside to advise the clerk I did NOT send my order to the wrong location. Another clerk helped me retrieve my order and had to reprint it since it was “lost” by the openers. Why are there children closing the store when they don’t know what they’re doing? – M Sae

I do not recommend this pharmacy at all. Not only are the products in the store are more expensive than going across the street to Target, and the Pharmacy manager, Chris, and the techs manage to screw something up nearly every time we go there. The last straw was when they changed my grandmother’s blood pressure medication instructions without her doctor’s consent and without informing her and then even when the doctor called them, would not fill her regular prescription because they had decided that she lived in an assisted living facility and tried to say her insurance would not allow it. Needless to say when we called the insurance, they said that they had no notation of her living in assisted care and that her prescription was OK to be filled as usual, that it was a problem with the pharmacy. Before that, they said that the insurance would not approve her pain medication so we went to Costco and they immediately got the approval from her insurance.
Neither time did the pharmacy manager ask if she was out of her medication and if she needed a few to make it through until the insurance was worked out or if she wanted to pay for it out of pocket, he just looked at her deadpan and said there was nothing he could do about it. Turns out there was something he could do about it because he was the one that had been screwing up her prescriptions.
If you have problems here, it is not your fault, just save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. – Hayley Hagan

Not enough employees! Was told they had one person ahead of me and then I was on hold for 20 plus minutes. CVS get some more employees!! You make so much money. – cynthia fuentes

CVS folsom ca. east bidwell. Parmacy tech had dirty hands and dressed poorly, he looked like he worked on his car. His hands were shakey. He did well on explaining insurance

The pharmacists don’t want to talk to you, which is lawful, they say the briefest info. As an RN, I know, so buyer beware.

In comparing costs Walmart was less, and would break down an RX, if you didn’t want all of it.

Their lines are sometimes the length of an isle. – Betty P

Best customer service ever
I’ve been going to this store since the time it opened way back when
They make it a point to hire the nicest employees ! They always greet you with a a smile! Never seen this in any other store period. – Yogi g

CVS Pharmacy

Reviews:

The pharmacist at this location just spoke to me like I was both a child and a drug addict. He refused to refill one of my prescriptions that is due for refill. This is not the first time that this pharmacist has spoken to me this way and the last time it was over something as ridiculous as Ibuprofen. I have been slowly switching all of my prescriptions to the CVS pharmacy across the street from this one, where they are friendly and competent. Go to the one at 1005 E. Bidwell instead! Trust me. – Hilary Jones

I was kind of hesitant about going to a new pharmacy after moving, but this place is great! The pharmacist and assistants are very friendly and helpful, and they fill orders surprisingly quickly. One time I brought in 6 paper prescriptions for meds for an upcoming surgery, and they were like “yeah just give us like 15 minutes and we’ll have it all ready for you.” And they did! Another time there was a mistake where one of my prescriptions was filled as a three month supply instead of a one month supply. The employee caught the mistake, asked me about it, and fixed it in like two minutes. I’m so glad I decided to try out this location! – Katie McCoy

They still shut down in the middle of the day or at least don’t answer their phones! Ridiculous! I am moving my perscriptions to Express Scripts to be delivered to my door. cheaper and no worse customer service! – Cindy Hipwell

If you need prescriptions filled don’t bother coming here. My wife is now going on 3 days to fill a simple shampoo. Apparently they have 1 pharmacist and he’s allowed to leave in the middle of the day for lunch. No sense in having posted pharmacy hours if there’s an hour gap in the day you can’t pick anything up. I get that people need to eat but just have them as a salaried employee and call them to the counter during their lunch? – Justin Billings

You feel like you’re back in time at a friendly family run pharmacy shop. Always greet you and then thank you for coming in. – Joy Armstrong
