“The staff is friendly, and I’m very confident about the pharmacists here. The support staff tends to be a bit inconsistent. At times, there appears to be some lack of training or experience involved as well as a language barrier, perhaps. At rare times when they are behind, I tend to think that it’s a problem with their system, workflow, and communication. Anyone behind the counter should be able to track right away, at what stage exactly is any prescription, but it doesn’t appear to be the case. My overall experience has been very good. Prices are among the lowest for both generics and brand names, and they also accept prepaid discounts from BlinkHealth and coupons from GoodRx. This combination has saved me hundreds each year compared to the top major pharmacies.” – Lucky Choi
“This is the WORST pharmacy ever! So many times they have screwed up my meds! Even giving me the wrong meds and the wrong form. VERY SLOW PROCESSING TIME! Don’t GO there!! I put up with 2years of CRAPPY service!” – Saharah Friztgerald

“Genuinely the worst pharmacy I’ve ever interacted within my life. Everyone there seems to be some different level of incompetent. Almost never have I had an interaction with them that went well.” – John O
“They are always out of stock, at least one of my son’s perceptions, EVERY MONTH!!! Very irritating and frustrating to have to keep coming back!!! Not to mention, my son goes without his medication for one or two days. They really need a new pharmacy manager!!!! I can see it happening once in a while but not every time!!!” – Ron Stafford

“All of the pharmacy items like common medicines, baby formula, and other personal care items are locked up. So to get any item, which you can freely buy at most other stores, you have to ring a red bell. Last time I was there I ask someone stocking the shelves to help me by opening the case so I could buy some contact solution. They said if you ring the bell someone would help. So I went and pressed the bell, ten minutes go by and nobody came over to unlock the cabinet. So I ask the stocker again if someone can help me. She says again ring the bell. She doesn’t make any effort to find the right person to help she just says someone will come over and help. Finally, after twenty minutes I walked up to the front of the store and found someone myself who could open the cabinet. It’s a wonder this franchise stays in business which such poor customer service. I understand why they need to lock items up, but to have associates basically ignore me and hope I go away is ridiculous. Safeway can do better and if they don’t my prediction is all of them will be gone in ten years when someone comes along and eats there lunch at basic customer service.” –

“I was repeatedly told by the pharmacy manager here that the pharmacy here could not fill my entire prescription because Safeway would not make enough money on the transaction (I was using GoodRx). I was never able to get them to fill more than a partial prescription. When I changed Safeways this problem went away.” – Rich Lowenberg
